AMTERENG, Aug 26: In a significant development, 1007 people from the All Party Hill Leaders’ Conference (APHLC) and Congress parties have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on August 26, 2025, during a mass joining programme held at Longeh Lobui Playground under the Chinthong MAC Constituency.
The Chinthong Mandal Committee organized the programme, which saw a large gathering of supporters and well-wishers. The joining ceremony marked a significant shift in the political landscape of the region, with many prominent leaders and community members throwing their support behind the BJP.
Tuliram Ronghang’s assurance has brought hope to the residents of Chinthong constituency, who are eager to see positive change in their area, said the mandal president. His leadership and vision for progress have been recognized, and his commitment to public service and governance is evident in his work, he added.
The event saw the presence of prominent leaders, including MP Amarsing Tisso, Howraghat MLA Darsing Ronghang, MLA Rupsing Teron, several KAAC EMs, MACs, including local MAC Avijit Kro, BJP West Karbi Anglong District President Radip Ronghang, KAAC Board Chairpersons, along with district and mandal office bearers and party workers.
