DIPHU, May 09:An awareness camp on Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) for the 2022-23 was held today at Tumpreng VDC Bhawan, Tumpreng ADO Circle, West Karbi Anglong District. This was informed through a press statement by West Karbi Anglong Department of Agriculture media expert Dolly Banerjee here today.
The camp was held by the West Karbi Anglong District Agriculture Office with the aim of providing insightful information to the farmers which will be of great benefit to them in the coming days.
After the awareness campaign session, three farmers were trained for scientific rearing of pigs and the beneficiary farmers were distributed multi vitamins, calcium supplement, mineral supplement, deworming and liver tonic of pigs under CSS ATMA 2022-23 Scheme., Tumpreng ADO Circle Agriculture Development Officer Bandana Saikia distributed the materials to the beneficiary farmers.
Further, the department stated that PM Kisan awareness campaign was collaborated for awareness regarding e-KYC, Aadhar seeding and IPPB account opening for the receipt of the 14th instalment of PM-KISAN for registered beneficiaries in Tumpreng ADO circle.
The West Karbi Anglong district DAO has from time to time provided training to the farmers as well as organising awareness campaigns under the various schemes of the Government which has been very beneficial to the farmers, informed the department.
“Apart from that the office has taken initiative for distribution of seeds of various food and perennial fruit crops under various schemes to the beneficiary farmers which has proved to be of great help to the farmers,” concluded the press statement.
