BOKAJAN, Dec 04: With Christmas drawing near, Pre-Christmas programmes were held at different locations across the hill districts of Karbi Anglong.
The first Pre-Christmas programme was in Karbi Anglong district was organised by the United Christian Forum (UCF) on December 1 at Joysing Doloi Auditorium in Diphu. This was followed at Hidisajir and Japralangso and several more are scheduled to be held jointly and also by individual churches and denominations before Christmas on December 25 which is celebrated across the world.
Christians across the world believe Christmas to be one of the greatest event when Jesus was born in Bethlehem more than 2000 years ago who would preach love, forgiveness, and sacrifice and would ultimately give his life to may way for eternal salvation through repentance of sins and accepting Jesus as Saviour.
