HAFLONG, Aug 21: Honouring India’s armed forces, the Haflong-based 26 Assam Rifles presented a video on ‘Operation Sindoor-The Saga of Valor and Fortitude of the Indian Armed Forces’ for students at Haflong Government College’s auditorium in Haflong on Thursday.
NC Hill Autonomous Council CEM Debolal Gorlosa graced the program as the chief guest along with Padmashree Joynacharan Bathari and several council members. Hundreds of students from different schools in Haflong also attended.
26 Assam Rifles Commanding Officer, Colonel Rakesh Radha Khrisnan, during his presentation, highlighted the strategic brilliance of ‘Operation Sindoor,’ and detailed how precision strikes on nine terror camps across J&K and PoK neutralized 100+ terrorists with zero civilian casualties, followed by India’s effective counter to Pakistani retaliation.
He also delved into the importance of strategic communication and how the false narratives created by the enemy country were dismantled by the Indian Army’s timely, regular, and factual broadcasting of information to the regional, national, and international media.
He also emphasized that ‘Operation Sindoor’ succeeded in uniting the nation, exposing Pakistan’s role, and showcasing India’s military-diplomatic resolve.
Addressing the program, CEM Gorlosa said that Operation Sindoor is an example of India’s “Zero Tolerance toward Terrorism”.
