PHELANGPI, May 30: Protap Pator of Dikhlem Hanse village under Amreng constituency won the Mr. Assam Tourism award at the Spark MR Assam fashion contest held on May 27 at Guwahati ITA Mackhowa Pragjyoty Cultural Hall. His achievement has brought laurel to the family and the people of his entire village.
Protap is the son of Babu Pator and Juli Enghipi. He has been interested in fashion from a very young age and on getting the opportunity, he won the event state-level event.
In 2022, Protap was the 1st runners-up in the MR KYF contest. This win took him to the Mr. Assam contest the same year, but, he did not win anything. Once again, this year he participated Spark MR Assam contest and was adjudged the winner of the Mr. Assam Tourism title. Talking to TDE, Pator’s mother said that her son had to face a lot of problems in availing things needed to take part in the contest. Their main problem is their poor financial condition. She appealed to local MAC Rina Terangpi for assisting her son in future events.
