KOILAMATI, Apr 30: A school established in the year 2004 in Rongmirdan of Koilamati falling under Nilip MAC Constituency is functioning only with one teacher ever since it was established the council.
While speaking with TDE, school headmaster Rajen Kro informed that when the school first started the numbers of students were few but enrolment has increased to more than 30 due to which it is becoming increasingly difficult to take classes for all levels. While sharing the genuine problems, the headmaster stated that whenever he gets official notice, he would have no other choice but to cancel classes due to which the students are severely affected.
“Lack of assistant teacher is one of the biggest problems and therefore, it needs to be immediately resolved to prevent further impact on the students and their future,” Kro said. He called upon the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council for immediate remedial measure to tackle the genuine problem facing the school.
Further, the school headmaster called upon the KAAC CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang and education EM Shri Richard Tokbi for renovation of school building along with proper boundary, doors and to provide the school with basic amenities such as bench and desk among others.
