DIPHU, May 28: Sand mahaldar Humson Kramsa said that the allegations that KAAC forest board chairman Sarthe Kramsa and Forest Ranger Harsing Kramsa are collecting donations from sand suppliers are all false and baseless. He made this statement during a press conference convened by him at the office of the District Press Club of Karbi Anglong (DPCKA) today.
Humson Kramsa said that the allegations made by Rajen Engleng on Sarthe and Harsing were done to malign their reputations. He added that Rajen made the false allegations simply to defame Sarthe Kramsa due to some misunderstanding between them.
“I am involved in the sand business for a long time. Anything of what Rajen Engleng have said had never happened with us,” said the sand mahaldar.
He further said that Rajen Engleng himself is an employee of the forest department, but he did not go for his duty regularly. Instead, he was engaged in supplying sand.
It may be mentioned that a few back, Rajen Engleng came in social media and alleged that KAAC Forest Board chairman Sarthe Kramsa and ranger Harsing Kramsa were collecting illegal money from sand suppliers. The duo immediately denied the charges and termed them baseless. Sand suppliers Jirsong Engti, Bijoy Kalita and others were also present during the press meeting.
