Residents demand new building for Bokajan LAMPS

BOKAJAN, Apr 11: The inhabitants of Bokajan town had expressed their concern over the poor condition of Bokajan Large Size Multipurpose Co-operative Society building and raised demand for the construction a new building.

Built sometime around 1971, this 52-year-old building is one of the oldest in the town. The walls, the roofs as well as other parts of the building, are not at all in good condition and there is a high risk of collapsing. Due to safety reasons, no good could be stored here. Instead, rice and other things are kept in another godown hired by the society.

Thus, locals have appealed the Dr. Tuliram Ronghang-led KAAC to visit the spot and take stock of the situation. They further said that immediate action for the construction of a new building needs to be taken.
