DIPHU, Sep 24: The residents of Rongcheklam under Ward No. 4 of Diphu Municipal Board (DMB) have been suffering from bad road and waterlogging. Though it is under Diphu town, the village is far from the development that can be seen in other parts of the district headquarter.
The village is located adjacent to the Diphu Medical College & Hospital. In every rainy season, people here face communication problem as the roads become inundated with water. Not only roads, even residential houses have also been affected by waterlogging due to the absence of a proper drainage system in the area.
Residents of Rongcheklam informed TDE that they had informed the problem to the competent authorities including KAAC several times. However, the authority is yet to take any positive action on the issue. They said that the commitment made the elected representatives before the election have all turned to be fake.
