Salary of venture school employees and ad hoc teachers will be disbursed soon: EM Richard Tokbi Correspondent

HAVARKEHAT, Mar 02: KAAC EM i/c Education Department Richard Tokbi has assured that the one-year pending salaries of all venture schools teachers and employees as well as ad hoc teachers of colleges will be released very soon. This was stated by the EM in front of the leaders of United Students Union of Karbi Anglong (USUKA), when the organisation visited him today.
USUKA had submitted a memorandum to the EM regarding several issues related to the educational institutions in Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong. They mentioned that there is not enough number of teachers from primary to higher secondary schools due to which teaching-learning is not happening smoothly. They also demanded that Science stream should be introduced in every higher secondary school to make Science more popular among students.
Besides everything, USUKA had strongly demanded the release of salaries of teachers and staffs working in venture schools, venture colleges and ad-hoc professors of colleges should be released at the earliest. They stated before the EM that due to the pending salary, teachers are facing several difficulties to perform their duty and are also facing hardships to maintain their normal lives.
In response to the memorandum, the CEM said that KAAC is to appoint more numbers of teachers in all levels of educational institutions. More numbers of higher secondary schools in the two districts under KAAC will be having Science stream. Apart from that, he said that the official procedure to release the pending salary of venture schools is also complete and salary will be released. However, he did not specify the dates by when the salary will be disbursed.
