DOLAMARA, Apr 04: The heavy rain and storm that occurred on April 2, destroyed a shop jointly run by Sing Tokbi and Rangmukrang Terang. This had destroyed more than 5 lakhs worth of commodities in the shop. The shop is located in Tarapung, in the interior part of Nilip constituency. This shop destroyed by the storm was the main supplier of basic essential commodities to the residents of the Tarapung-Borpung area. Its destruction is a big blow.
The owners informed that all cash kept in the shop was either blown out by the wind or drenched in the rain. 60 packets of cement were also damaged in the rain. They had sought help from KAAC CEM and others representatives.
Meanwhile, Tarapung Local Committee president Mohen Tokbi also visited the spot and talked to the victims.
