BOKAJAN, May 05: A Karbi youth from Silonijan Phillipson Tisso cracked the APSC exam to become Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI). Hearing the news of his achievement, a team of local journalists had today visited his house to felicitate him.
Phillipson is the son of Riso Tisso, resident of Silonijan Rasi Tisso village under Deopani constituency. He appeared the exam for the post last year, and the result of the same was declared on April 24. His name appeared among the 26 candidates selected for the post of MVI. The news of his achievement brought happiness to the faces of his parents, relatives, friends, and the people of Silonijan.
The journalist team felicitated the young achiever with a Karbi poho and congratulated him for bringing laurel to the district. Phillipson was an active student leader and was associated with the Bokajan Regional Committee of KSA as publicity secretary.
Speaking during the visit, Phillipson said that the youths of Karbi Anglong must make up their minds to consistently study in order to crack exams like APSC and UPSC. There are several online sources available in the present generation and this helps the aspirants to get study materials more easily. He assured to provide all help possible from his end to youths who are willing to prepare for such exams. He thanked his parents and all well-wishers for their constant support.
