KOILAMATI, May 07: Six villages falling under the Nilip MAC Constituency has called upon the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, MLA Dr.Numol Momin and local MAC Pobitra Rongpi for construction of bridge over Nambor river to ease the communication woes they have been facing since time immemorial.
The six villages comprising of Kadom-Ari Mai arong, Ok Langchar, Upper Deigrum Lokhiram Rongphar arong, Phangcherop and Khanari Rengma village continue to remain deprived from all opportunities due to absence of bridge over the Nambor river. According to the villagers, their condition has remained unchanged even under the current BJP government at the Centre, state and at the Council level.
Even though the villagers have acknowledged that transformation, in terms of road connectivity, have been seen through construction of Silonijan-Koilamati-Chokihola BBDC road and setting up of mobile network towers are underway in Sarihuti, Borpung,Tara-aji, Phangcherop, Khanari and Upper Deigrum, yet their area continued to remain deprived in almost all walks of life.
The villagers have called upon MLA Dr. Numol Momin to fulfill his promises made during the pre-election campaign meeting to address their problems including RCC over Nambor river, mobile network and road connecting Jilangso and Phangcherop. “As per his promise, people of 28 villages including Kadom-Ari Mai arong, Ok Langchar, Langprothom, Upper Deigrum,Phangcherop, Khanari Rengma village extended their full support to KAAC CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, and MLA Dr. Numol Momin gave their precious voted BJP and brought victory for MAC Pobitra Rongpi. And now its high time for the leaders to deliver on their promises made to us,” locals said.
Residents of these villages have called upon the KAAC leaders and MLA to consider their genuine issues and solve their problems directly linked to their future and progress at the earliest.
