SSS TET qualified candidates express dismay over delay in issue of advertisement for recruitment

Staff reporter

DIPHU, Nov 28: The Sixth Schedule Special TET qualified candidates from Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong have expressed their frustration over the delay in releasing the advertisement for recruitment. The exam was held in April this year, and the result for the same was declared in June. The original mark sheets were distributed to the successful candidates in September.

More than 2800 candidates from the twin Karbi Hills districts. The news of such a good number of youths clearing the exam was a great joy. The candidates and their family members were expecting early appointments like the earlier occasions. However, this time the authority is neither directly recruiting the successful candidates, nor are they given advertisements for the posts.

It may be mentioned here that Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong have a major portion of the lower primary schools running with a single teacher. This results in early drop-out of students or parents sending them to study in far-off places. As such, KAAC has been repeatedly emphasizing on improving the condition of these schools by solving the problem of teacher shortage.

Talking to TDE, the SSS TET qualified candidates are therefore eagerly awaiting the concerned authority to conduct interviews and recruit them so that they get the opportunity to contribute in transforming the educational scenario of the two districts.
