HAMREN, Aug 04:Three person were severely injured after a head-on collision between a mobile truck belonging to Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) and a bike at Hamren English LP School (PWD Colony) of Hamren town under Hamren Police Station today.
The biker and the pillion rider were immediately rushed to Guwahati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) while the APDCL Mobile truck driver was referred to Haji Abdul Majid Memorial (HAMM) hospital of Hojai for medical attention.
According to eye witnesses, the accident took place at around 1 pm this afternoon when a speeding bike bearing registration no. AS-31 0811, collided with an APDCL mobile truck bearing registration number AS02AC 0380 coming from the opposite direction.
The injured persons were identified as Moses Tisso (19), s/o Dorsing Tisso of Lobilangso village, Chinthong Timung (17), s/o Chandrasing Timung and the driver of the APDCL truck as Khonsing Rongpi, s/o Lt.Harsing Rongpi of Habe village in Hamren.
The Hamren along with ASI Bikash Sutradhar on getting the information immediately rushed to the spot for official process.
Meanwhile according to locals, the accident took place due to reckless driving and flouting of road safety rules.
