DONGKAMUKAM, May 14: A two-day (12th & 13 May 2023) training programme on “Child and women care in relief camps and temporary shelter” was organized by Disaster Management Authority at Assistance Revenue Office (ARO) Office Dongkamukam, West Karbi Anglong in collaboration with Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).
More than 50 women from the locality attended the training. The resource persons for the training were Romali Teronpi W&CD, DMC, DHEW, Karbi Anglong and Jirleen Rongpipi, Centre Administrator.
On these two days, the trainers mostly emphasised preparedness and felicitate planning to meet any eventuality in West Karbi Anglong. The trainers also demonstrated in acting how to meet the challenge in an emergency so that they understand easily, especially in hills.
Earlier the training was opened by Rupjoy Maibangsa, District Project Officer.
