BOKAJAN, Sept 03: The Karbi Anglong police on Saturday arrested two drugs peddlers during a search conducted inside Lahorijan under the Khatkhati police station. This was informed by the cops late on Saturday evening.
According to officials, the search was conducted at around 2:28 pm upon receiving reliable information that some unknown persons were dealing with drugs business at the Lahorijan Bagan area. Accordingly, the search was conducted at Lahorijan Bagan leading to the arrest of two persons by the police team led by Khatkhati PS OC SI (P) Swmdwn Swargiary and ASI Bhuban Barik during which they recovered total 11 plastic tobacco containers containing total 172 Samplex + tablets weighing total 130 grams which were hidden under a bush.
The narcotic items were seized in physical presence of ASP (S) and in presence of independent witnesses while a case has also been registered, source added.
