DIPHU, Mar 05: Two young footballers from Karbi Anglong are set to play in the Hero 2nd Division League 2022-23. Jirjar Terang and Turbong Kro will be playing in the competition for the first time.
Jirjar Terang, a resident of Rong eta, Phongbirik Dokmoka in Karbi Anglong district, will be seen in the role of a midfielder for his team Down Town Heroes Football Club from Jammu & Kashmir. Turbong Kro on the other hand will be playing for Mumbai City FC.
The tournament starts on March 8. Jirjar’s team will come into action on April 4, while Turbong’s team will begin their campaign on the opening day of the league.
