KOILAMATI, Nov 21: In a latest incident, two persons were injured after a bamboo supplying truck overturned inside the Nambor forest area falling under the Borpothar Police station here today.
According to locals, the accident took place at around 11 am when a speeding truck with the registration number UP25CT1040 heading towards Uttar Pradesh overturned at a turn inside the Nambor forest area. During the accident, the driver and helper sustained injuries but was not life-threatening at the time of filing this report. Locals suspected that it might have been a drunken driving incident. The 14-wheelers truck loaded with bamboo may have overturned due to over speeding and drunken driving.
Meanwhile, local police also reached the spot for assessment and official action. Furthermore, the OC of the Barpothar police station informed TDE that the case will be handled in accordance with the applicable charge.
