TUMPRENG, Aug 03: The West Karbi Anglong Labour Union (WKALU) celebrated its 3rd Foundation day at Langhan play ground in Dongmukak of West Karbi Anglong here today.
The programme was chaired by WKALU president Manav kramsa in the presence of Chamber of Commerce chairman Michael Kramsa and Karbi Anglong Women Justice Forum (KAWJF) President Beulet Beypi along with other prominent leaders. During the event, several speakers gave valuable speeches and encouraged the organisation to continue serving the society with unvarying commitment.
Later after the conclusion of the programme, the Chamber of Commerce chairman Micheal Kramsa while speaking to media stated that labourers should jointly work hand in hand with the organization since WKALU is a common platform and stands especially for the daily wagers. While the KAWJF president in particular, also stated that WKALU should be empowered by the society for the public interest and that their organization also fully support WKALU in the organization vision. Later, WKALU president also concluded that the organization has completed three years from its establishment and it is determined to work to a greater extent than for the welfare of the society.
